My secondment at University College Dublin (UCD) within the ENSURE-6G project has now concluded, marking a highly valuable period of focused research and collaboration.
During the secondment, I worked primarily on analysing the Digital Omnibus Package and its recent amendments, with a particular focus on their potential impact on the project’s research objectives. My work examined how these regulatory changes may influence key aspects of 6G-enabled environments, including data governance, cybersecurity requirements, and the increasing use of AI in network operations.

This process highlighted the importance of aligning emerging 6G technologies with the evolving EU digital regulatory framework from an early stage. Contributing a legal perspective to a technically driven project, while engaging in multidisciplinary discussions, was both intellectually stimulating and professionally rewarding.
Overall, this secondment reinforced the value of cross-disciplinary cooperation in EU-funded research projects and provided a strong foundation for continued collaboration within ENSURE-6G.
