As part of the ongoing efforts under the ENSURE-6G Staff Exchange Program, funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), Event #3 — Advanced Wireless Network Security and Privacy was hosted by Universidad de las Américas (UDLA)-Ecuador, in collaboration with University College Dublin (UCD)-Ireland and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB)-Belgium.
This module provides advanced wireless networks and emerging communication paradigms and comprehensive training on advanced security and privacy for B5G/6G networks.
Target Audience: Researchers, graduate students, professionals in cybersecurity, telecommunications, tech ethics, and public policy makers.
The two-day event took place on June 24th and June 27th, and was attended by both students and professors.

Day 1: On Day 1, we had the presence of Prof. An Braeken from VUB, who delivered a talk on “The Basic Mechanisms of Security in 5G/6G.” Prof. Chamitha De Alwis from UCD presented “Security in the IoT Ecosystem and Next-Generation Networks,” and Prof. Henry Carvajal from UDLA gave a talk on “Enhancing Security at the Physical Layer of Wireless Systems: Applications in Code-Domain NOMA.”




Day 2: On Day 2, we had the presence of Prof. Shen Wang from UCD, who delivered a talk on “Federated learning for privacy-preserving 6G AI Systems”. Prof. Basak Ozan Ozparlak from Ozyegin University presented “Regulatory Framewoks for Responsible AI in Global 6G Deployment” and Prof. Aarón Echeverria from UDLA gave a talk on “Security for IoT Netwoks in 6G Systems”
