It was a great opportunity to participate in EuCNC & 6G Summit 2026 in Málaga, Spain, at the Trade Fair and Congress Center of Málaga (FYCMA), representing the University of Sri Jayewardenepura with the support of the ENSURE-6G secondment.

The EuCNC & 6G Summit 2026 is one of the leading international conferences dedicated to advanced telecommunications, bringing together the long-established European Conference on Networks and Communications (EuCNC) and the globally recognized 6G Summit. The event was held from 2–5 June 2026 in Málaga, Spain, serving as a major platform for discussing the future of wireless communications and networking technologies.
The conference focuses on a broad range of topics, including 5G deployment, mobile Internet of Things (IoT), Beyond-5G systems, 6G technologies, future communication networks, testbeds, applications, and services. It provides a venue where researchers, engineers, policymakers, and industry leaders can exchange ideas and present the latest technological advancements.
Supported by the European Commission, the summit combines the 35th edition of EuCNC and the 8th edition of the 6G Summit, which originated from the Finnish 6G Flagship programme. It is sponsored by major professional organizations including the IEEE Communications Society, EURASIP, and EurAAP.
A key strength of the event is its ability to connect academia, industry, and government stakeholders. The conference regularly attracts more than 1,000 participants from over 40 countries, creating opportunities for collaboration, networking, and the development of future telecommunications standards and innovations.
In addition to technical paper presentations, the summit features keynote speeches, workshops, panel discussions, demonstrations, and exhibitions. More than 50 exhibitors showcase cutting-edge technologies, prototypes, and research outcomes, particularly those developed through European research and innovation programmes.

The ENSURE-6G Secondment Programme opened the door to an enriching experience, allowing me to gain invaluable insights into this world-class academic and technical event while connecting with leading researchers and industry experts.
